Hello! My name is Melody I. Brooks; I’m the owner of Sweet Policy LLC. I would describe myself as a whimsical policy analyst from Gwinnett County, GA. My background is in civil rights compliance and education justice. As a former policy manager, I had the opportunity to create a policy system for a large department. Working with talented staff, I established a policy framework which included processes for policy, standard operating procedure, and administrative rule development and modification. I founded Sweet Policy LLC to share what I learned and advance accessibility in the policymaking process. I’m inspired by my mother’s creativity, public broadcasting, civil and worker rights movements, and Southern storytelling. I’m excited to talk with you about policy in a fun, creative way!
